Chatsworth Cosmetic Dental Care — New Patient Contest Rules

Dr. Pasternak was a subscriber to the Internet Dental Alliance (IDA), a network of dental practices that pooled resources to offer vacation contests to new patients. Because no individual practice could offer these vacations alone, Dr. Pasternak contributed to a contest fund to make the opportunity available to new patients joining his practice through the Internet.
Original Rules (2001–2002)
- Your name was automatically entered to win the current contest once you completed your initial appointments.
- Drawings for winners were held every twelve months. No purchase necessary; limited to one entry per person per day.
- Mail-in entries were accepted on a 3” × 5” card, mailed separately to the Internet Dental Alliance, 103 Washington Street, New Market, IA 51646, and received by the first of each quarter.
- Winners were selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries; odds depended on the number of eligible entries received.
- Eligibility: legal residents of the United States, 21 years of age or older at time of entry. Employees and immediate family members of the Internet Dental Alliance and affiliated companies were not eligible.
- Prize: one grand prize — roundtrip airfare for two (coach class, continental U.S. to Paris, France) plus a five-night hotel stay, subject to availability during the 2001/2002 travel window.
